Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co. was the vision of two of South Africa’s most successful restaurateurs, Costa Tomazos and Bradley Michael, who in their own words wanted to “Provide a unique and exceptionally enjoyable steakhouse dining experience that catered for meat lovers in a sophisticated yet relaxed environment”.  Builtrite were  originally engaged  in October 2008 to undertake the fitout of the groups’ first Melbourne store and again in 2013  to demolish and redevelop this restaurant in to a modern day contemporary look and feel to enhance the customer experience, yet maintaining the fundamentals of the brand.  According to DS17 who designed both stores they “created interiors that elevate the soul to a higher state of awareness”.
